Choosing where you work & your notifications

This guide shows you how to set your home address, tell the app where you're willing to work, and control the emails you get — all from the Profile tab.

Save notification settings
Your work areas and email settings save together with one button.
Before you start: Everything here lives on the Profile tab (the last of your bottom tabs: Today · Events · Materials · Reports · Profile). Scroll down past your name and stats to find these cards.

Set your home address

Your home address is what lets the app find shifts near you. Keep it current if you move.

  1. Open the Profile tab.
  2. Scroll to the Home address card.
  3. Fill in Street address, City, State, and ZIP.
  4. Tap Save address.

If you see a line that says "We have your address but haven't mapped it to shifts near you yet. Save it again to retry," just tap Save address one more time. Saving always re-checks your address on the map, so re-saving is how you fix it.

Tell the app where you want to work

Find the Where I want to work block inside the Notifications form on the Profile tab. As the app puts it: *"Choose where we look for shifts. This drives your Open shifts list and your opportunity emails."*

  1. Pick one of the three modes: Near home, Specific cities, or Both.
  2. For Near home (or Both), tap a travel-distance chip: 5 mi, 10 mi, 20 mi, 50 mi, 100 mi, or Any. (It starts at 50 mi.)
  3. For Specific cities (or Both), type a city in the search box (for example, e.g. Milwaukee, WI), then tap a result to add it. Each result shows how many shifts are open there, like 3 open.
  4. To drop a city, tap the on its chip.
  5. Tap Save notification settings at the bottom to lock it all in.

Choose which emails you get

In the same Notifications section on Profile, you can turn emails on or off. The app notifies you by email only.

  1. Leave Email notifications on — this is the master switch for everything below.
  2. Keep Claim confirmation with calendar invite on to get a confirmation email with a calendar invite each time you claim a tasting.
  3. Keep Day of Event Link on to get your check-in link before each tasting. Use Day of Event Link timing to choose how early it arrives: 30 minutes, 1 hour, 1.5 hours, 2 hours, or 1 day ahead. (It starts at 1 hour.)
  4. Keep Summary of claimed tastings on for a roundup of your upcoming shifts, and set Claimed summary window to 7 days, 14 days, or 30 days.
  5. Keep New opportunity summary on to hear about new open shifts, and set Opportunity summary cadence to Daily, Weekly, or Paused.
  6. Tap Save notification settings when you're done.
☀ Good to know
  • One Save covers everything. The Where I want to work choices and all your notification switches are saved together by the one Save notification settings button. There is no separate save for your work areas — if you don't tap Save, your changes won't stick.
  • "Near home" needs a mapped address. If your home address hasn't mapped yet, the app can't find shifts around you. You'll see a nudge asking you to add or re-save your address — do that first.
  • Your choices shape two things: the Open shifts list you see on the Events tab, and the opportunity emails you receive.
  • Everything is email. There's no text-message option — all of your notifications come by email.
  • The day-of link comes once per tasting, and only before it starts — measured in the store's local time. If you claim a shift after it has already begun, no link is sent; just use the app directly to check in.
  • "1 day" means 24 hours ahead for your day-of link timing.
  • You can watch up to 15 cities. If you hit the limit, remove one to add another.
⚑ If something’s not working
You see "We have your address but haven't mapped it to shifts near you yet. Save it again to retry"
tap Save address again. Saving re-checks the map.
The Events tab shows no open shifts near you
your work area may be too tight. Widen your travel distance, add more cities, or use Show all on the Events tab to see everything.
Your work-area changes disappeared
you likely didn't save. Go back to Profile, make your changes, and tap Save notification settings.
You didn't get a claim confirmation or calendar invite
check that both Email notifications and Claim confirmation with calendar invite are on. If either is off, the email is skipped.
No day-of check-in link arrived
make sure Day of Event Link is on. Remember it only sends before the tasting's start time in the store's local time, and only once — if you claimed the shift after it started, no link goes out.
Too many (or too few) opportunity emails
adjust Opportunity summary cadence to Daily, Weekly, or Paused, then tap Save notification settings.
