Before & on event day
This guide walks you through your day-of-tasting steps in the app — from finding your schedule to checking in, running the tasting, and checking out.
Find your tasting on the day
- Open the app and tap the Today tab.
- Look at the top for your next tasting — Up next shows what's happening now or soon, and Coming up shows what's ahead.
- To see everything you've claimed, open My shifts.
- Tap the tasting row to open the big Tasting details screen (this is where you get directions and check in and out).
- To see the full info grid and message your brand team, tap Details on the tasting's card instead (tap Hide details to close it).
The "Day of Event Link" email
Before your tasting starts, the brand emails you a shortcut called your Day of Event Link. It arrives once per tasting, before the start time, in the store's local time. The subject reads Today's tasting at your store.
- Open the email and tap Open check-in and report.
- It opens the app right on that tasting, ready for you to check in.
You never have to wait for this email. If you don't see it, just open the app and tap your tasting — everything the email links to is right there.
Get directions
- Open the tasting's Tasting details screen.
- Tap Directions.
- Your phone's map app opens with the store's address. There is no map inside the app itself.
Check in when you arrive
- Get to the store and set up.
- On the Tasting details screen (or the tasting card), tap Check in.
- That's it — one tap. The app grabs your phone's location and stamps your start time. You'll see Checked in when it's done.
If your phone's location is off or won't share, the app asks you to Add a reason for check-in instead. Type a short reason and it records that in place of GPS. If you leave it blank, nothing is saved, so add a reason.
Run your tasting and ask questions
While you're working, you can message your brand team about this exact tasting.
- Tap Details on the tasting's card to expand it.
- Scroll to the Messages panel.
- Type in the Message the team box and tap Send message.
Replies stay attached to this tasting, so it's the right place for questions like "the store moved my table" or "I'm low on cups."
Check out when you're done
- On the Tasting details screen, tap Check out.
- A prompt asks "Check out of this tasting now? This stamps your end time and moves you to the report." — tap OK to confirm.
- The app stamps your end time and moves you toward your report.
You must check out before you can submit your report. If you forget, you won't be able to send it. There's no undo on check-out, so tap it when the tasting is truly finished.
For filling in and submitting the report itself, see the report guide.
Order your materials
Sample product and promo materials are stock for you — you order a running supply for yourself, and it carries over between tastings. You don't order per tasting.
- Tap the Materials tab.
- Tap New request.
- Add any Request notes, check the products you need, and set notes on each if you like.
- Tap Submit material request.
You'll see "Material request submitted for internal review." Your existing requests show a status like In review, Approved, Shipped, or Delivered. Scroll down to From your brand for guidelines and training videos, images, and PDFs your brand has shared.
- Check in unlocks at midnight on event day, in the store's time zone — not the day before, and not at the start time. So you can check in early to set up, but not the night before.
- You can start your report right after check-in. It becomes fully submittable only after you check out.
- Your check-in, check-out, and report drafts are saved right on your phone. If the store Wi-Fi is spotty, they'll sync automatically once you're back online — keep the app open if you can.
- The Day of Event Link email only sends before the start time. If you claim a shift the morning of, after it's already started, no email goes out — just open the app and tap the tasting.
- You can only order materials once you've claimed at least one tasting. Until then, the Materials tab shows a note asking you to claim a sampling first.
- Messages are per-tasting, not a general inbox. If your team closes a thread, you'll see "This thread is closed." and won't be able to reply there.
- Reports auto-lock 24 hours after the event. If you see Report locked, contact your manager to reopen it.
- The button says "Available on event day"
- it's not event day yet in the store's time zone. Come back after midnight on the day of the tasting.
- "Check out" won't tap or says "Check in first"
- you need to check in before you can check out.
- Check-out is stuck on "Check-in is queued"
- your check-in is still syncing on a bad connection. Wait for it to sync (or tap Retry now); check-out unlocks after it does.
- You never got the Day of Event Link email
- you may have claimed the shift after it started, or email notifications are off. Just open the app and tap your tasting to check in.
- Location won't share at check-in
- you'll see "We could not get your location. Add a reason for check-in." Type a reason and it records that instead.
- You see "Saved on this phone" or "queued on phone"
- the network dropped and your action is waiting to send. Keep the app open and it'll sync, or tap Retry now.
- You can't submit your report
- make sure you've checked out first; the report can only be submitted afterward.
- The Materials tab won't let you order
- you'll see a note to claim a sampling first. Claim a tasting, then come back and tap New request.
- You need help beyond this
- open Help & support: use Ask [your brand] for schedules, pay, products, and what to do at a store, or Technical help if you can't sign in or something won't load. Include your name and the store you were at.
